Salads Can Be Tasty Too
As we welcome March, we also say hello to nutrition month. It's time to focus on making healthy food choices and developing better eating habits. One healthy choice that you can add to your diet is having a salad. This isn't our first choice when it comes to meals but by adding certain ingredients we can make it so much more appetizing.
It's not just about the greens. Add some color to your salad with fruit and veggies. Try apples, oranges, berries, or spinach in your salad, get as creative as you want! One way to add flavor is by putting herbs in there. Don't be afraid to add some parsley, sage, rosemary, or thyme. And you can't forget the avocado! They taste so amazing and have tons of health benefits for you. To get more flavor in your salad, sprinkle nuts like walnuts, almonds, pecans, or pine nuts on top. Don't go overboard with the dressings, and try to stick with oils.
There are so many things you can do to make your salad that much better. Look up different recipes online or just think of some of your favorite food items and get creative with it. It's not hard to do and you won't have to stand there cooking for hours!
